The fall season has ended for boys soccer, but the team is not finished yet. Rangeview’s varsity soccer team will be moving on to playoffs as a result of a season full of successes. The team ended their season 11-3-1 overall and 8-1-1 in the 5A EMAC league, taking second place. Many would agree that it has been a very rewarding season for the boys.

According to Maxpreps.com,

  • Third year varsity player Alexis Flores (11) is tied for the top scorer in the league with 21 goals scored.
  • First year varsity player Rashid Seidu-Aroza (11) is tied for second with 17 goals.
  • Captain Luis Cervantes (12) has had the most assists in the league.
  • Goalie Marty Hoisington (12) is second for least goals scored against.

Senior captain Cris Reza commented, “This is without a doubt the best team I have played with in my high school career.”

The first playoff game will take place this Thursday on the Rangeview turf at 4:30 pm. Check out our preview of the game here.
